Nestled in a valley with a wildflower garden, dotted with butterflies and the only interference is the songbirds, Treetops is a self-sufficient private haven. The modern, comfortable and stylish bright interior boasts plenty of natural light and mid-century features. Sitting on the sheltered decking outside, dripping in wisteria, one can feel deeply inspired by the view of the rolling, bucolic countryside on your doorstep. Whether is it a morning coffee whilst sketching the hills or writing sun-drenched poetry, or treating oneself to a sit-down lunchtime spread on the generously sized outdoor table, Treetops is truly a place to relax and recuperate. Offering a reprieve from fast-paced existence and an authentic immersion into the very best of the Devon rural holiday experience.
Treetops has an open plan living space where you can sit and enjoy the view out of the French doors and balcony across the valley. The large balcony has a delightful dining area surrounded by trailing wisteria, where you can enjoy sunrise or sundown in this serene location.
Below Treetops is a beautiful garden full of wild flowers and a large decked area with table and chairs to enjoy a glass of wine listening to the birds chatter and watch the sun dip down the valley. Treetops is located in the valley with a handful of other holiday cottages nearby though its elevated position makes it secluded and private. There are gorgeous country walks leaving from the Treetops and is only a 20 minute walk to the famous, award winning Bantham Beach. Guests book repeatedly each year for its charm and location.
The bedroom with double bed has its own balcony doors opening onto the valley and a skylight overhead for stargazing from bed. The living room has a pull out sofa bed for 2 people expanding the capacity to 4. The recently refurbished bathroom has a large shower, toilet and basin.
The small and compact kitchen area has an under counter fridge with freezer compartment, double oven and hob. There is also a microwave, kettle and toaster. There is a small breakfast bar and dining table that extends to seat 4 people. Though not a large space you should have everything you should need for your stay, including internet and smart tv with Netflix.
Treetops is a mile from the lovely village of Bantham where you can find the village shop and café and The Sloop which offers an extensive menu of local fayre. Boasting the famous surfing beach in the South West you can take advantage of the surf school or the hire surf equipment and wetsuits.
West Buckland is just a short drive from the local market town of Kingsbridge with its bustling Fore Street with an eclectic, yet attractive mix of shop fronts, cafes and pubs. The nearby coastal towns of Salcombe and Dartmouth are lined with boutique shops, lifestyle brands, art galleries and gift shops – you can while the time away browsing through these towns.
What makes Treetops so special – from the owner
Having recently purchased Treetops, I am very proud to be able to share this delightful little gem with fellow visitors who want to come away, relax and rejuvenate themselves. As soon as I drove into this tranquil valley I fell in love with the location and had the most fantastic nights sleep in the cosy accommodation, waking to listen to the birds calling across the valley. I am sure any visitor will enjoy their stay at Treetops.
