Outside is a fantastic country garden with mature borders and large lawn, there is also a small summer house where you can sit and take in the peace and tranquillity of the Avon Valley. Woodleigh is situated 4 miles from the South Hams capital of Kingsbridge which offers all shopping and amenity needs. Woodleigh is a peaceful and pretty South Hams village. The cottage sits on the village lane and there are walks from the door. Popular Watkins Wood, managed by the Woodland Trust is just up the road and you can walk to the magical River Avon, through bluebells and wild garlic in season. The Avon Mill Garden Centre is down the hill with its small boutiques and cafe. Not far away is the south west coastal path - a walkers paradise! Dartmouth, Salcombe and Totnes are within a 20 - 30 minute drive. The cottage is a great base to explore all the delights that South Devon has to offer.
You need a car for this location or a bike for keen cyclists. No buses go through the village. Taxis are available from Kingsbridge. The nearest mainline station is Totnes. There is excellent walking in the area and you are well placed for the South West Coastal Path.
