This unusually shaped cottage has been beautifully curated for your perfect cosy seaside getaway.

Upon entry to The Coach House you are welcomed by a bright airy open plan dining area and lounge. To the right, the galley kitchen beams light from outside through the trio of symmetrical windows. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils and appliances needed for cooking and baking on your family holiday. The kitchen follows the curve shape of the house with ample preparation and cooking space.  The kitchen comes fitted with a halogen Bosch hob and extractor fan, a Bosch two-compartment oven, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, dishwasher, plus a large fridge and freezer.

A rustic wooden glass paned door opens up the kitchen into the lounge and dining area of this property. A six seated dining table sits between the ornamental welsh dresser and the glasses cabinet. Across the original white painted walls hang cast iron lizards with seaside themed decorations to truly present that coastal holiday retreat.  The spiral grey staircase divides the dining room and lounge into two separate rooms, although open plan.

Once at the top of the spiral staircase, the first bedroom is reached. This mezzanine style room is lit up by the Velux windows and sleeps up to 3 guests across one single and one superkingsize bed. An en-suite bathroom adjoins this bedroom. The bathroom is somewhat a marvel in itself. The bathroom includes a bath, basin and toilet, but the icing on the cake is the balcony the bathroom opens out onto. The balcony overlooks the Coach House garden and past the boundary, to Hope Cove’s Mouthwell sandy beach.

Back down the stairs and into the lounge, which sits beneath the mezzanine bedroom, the lounge comfortably accommodates a large curved sofa, television, WiFi, electric fireplace and vintage kettle. Vintage style lamps are placed around the lounge diner, complimenting the wooden beamed ceiling and providing a cosy mood lighting during the evenings – however, ceiling spotlights are available too.

The second bedroom is up the step from the lounge and is the master bedroom. This gorgeously bright and light room accommodates a double bed, cupboard space and patio doors that open out onto the sheltered outdoor veranda in the garden. An en-suite wet room with a shower, toilet and basin leads access into the third bedroom. This seaside themed bedroom accommodates two single beds. The washing machine and tumble dryer can be found in an alcove within this bedroom. Access to the garden veranda through this bedroom is ideal for coming straight off the beach. The bedroom is tiled so wet bodies are able to head straight through this bedroom and into the bathroom to wash off before coming back into the carpeted area of the house.

On to the garden, this hidden gem of a seaside garden means not only can you look down and watch as the village comes alive but also enjoy the business of nature unfold. In the right season, the garden is graced with butterflies and bees, birds singing a sprightly melody and the sweet serenity of the ocean crashing into the rocks just at the end of the garden. Split into two enclosed areas via two picket fences, the grassy knoll following the veranda is perfect for bbq’s and embracing the outdoors. The second paddock is an enclosed grassy area where kids can play. A gate at the end of the garden leads onto the coastal footpath which can either take you towards the beaches and village or turn right and follow the path right round to Thurlestone and beyond.

On those chillier nights where you wish to sit outside, a chimney wood fire can be used while al fresco dining at the garden table and bench.
